Reading to Toddlers

When reading to toddlers, have them name the items on each page of familiar books, rather than you naming the items. If your child has a favorite book, try to pick a different theme each time you read the book. For example, go through and point out all the animals; the next time, point out the colors; the next time, talk about the shapes; and so on. This keeps the child endlessly learning, and you stay interested too! Kathleen Traylor, M.D.

Denver Pediatrics

What Our Patients Say:

The care we've received from the team at Stapleton Pediatrics over the last 8 years, for both of our children has been nurturing, informative, responsive and exceptional. We love seeing all of our favorites including Dr. Brandon, Dr. Robin and Nurse Heidi. While the care is above and beyond, the greatest endorsement I can give is their support of our parenting and reassurances of the value of our natural instincts as parents. They coach and support, never condescend or over-rule. We'd be lost with you Dr. BDT! Colleen Apr 28,2015
